Hired a Second Time!
In 2005, our 30+ year old house looked tired and worn out. The cedar siding looked shabby, we were weary of the chilly drafts created by single pane windows and our miniscule kitchen was downright dangerous when two knife-wielding chefs tried cooking together. We hired Whitton & Whitton, a local Austin architect and interior design firm, to re-design the kitchen on the first floor and add a large walk-in closet above.
When we asked Duane See to re-build our house, we had no idea what magic he would work. Duane See is an extraordinary craftsman whose meticulous attention to detail is evident in every nook and cranny of the house. All the joints meet at precise angles and all the materials are high quality. Duane encountered numerous unexpected problems with our old house and found workable solutions within our budget. He demands high quality from his subcontractors and monitors their work closely so it meets his exacting standards. Now, four years later, we walk into the kitchen every day and marvel how much we still love his work. Would we hire him again? Well, we just did. He won a competitive bid to do yet another addition to our house, this time a pottery studio. - Gary & Jean Hanson - Austin, Texas
Highest Value for the Money
Duane has recently remodeled our home for us. The scope of the work in Phase 1 was to totally gut out and then rebuild the Living Room, Foyer, Dining Room, Kitchen and Den. Phase 2 included combining of the Master Bedroom and Bedroom number 4 into a combined Master Suite. This also included a complete rebuild of the Master Bath.
We found his work to be of the highest quality and our opinion is Duane does not do it if it’s not done right. His work was timely and reasonably priced and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a builder who would provide the highest value for the money invested. We would be happy to show our house with proper notice. - Frank and Georgia Willis
